Jakkin Rabbit

Continuing to showcase a talent that is truly something else is Mexican formed label MEXA Records- who will soon release a compelling EP that comes with a little bit of the key formula.

MEXA Records will release it’s sixth release from a duo that has already featured on Hot Creations, is half Marc Spence and half Danny Kane. The duo make up Jakkin Rabbit and are now recent additions to a growing MEXA Records talent. The EP ‘Pushin‘, comes with a bold A and B-side, complete with striking vocals from Robert Owens. It also presents itself with four impressive A-side remixes that provide a nice alteration from the original mix. FreakMe- who saw his track ‘Time Has Gone’ released on MEXA Records back in September, has featured on big named labels such as Diyamic and Get Physical Music; the Italian dj and producer will soon release his remix of the EP’s A-side. Moving onto the second remix is funk and soul influenced artist Sonny Fodera. Sonny resides from Melbourne, Australia and has released big tracks to Cajual Records, Beatdown, Guesthouse, Drop Music and many more. Completing the EP’s third remix is Zurich based duo Naird & Alahs aka Adriatique, who are big hitters for Solomun’s label Diynamic Records- the label that infused excitement into Sankeys, Ibiza all summer. Closing the EP will be label head himself Louie Fresco, who continues to impress us with his ability to produce whilst running a busy label- testament to his hard work.

Introducing the EP is Jakkin Rabbit and their track ‘Pushin‘, which ignites deep influences in both it’s vocal and beat. A booming taste of low-swung sounds, the opening to the EP steers towards a lofty level and infuses your deep side.

Continuing along the wavy deep basslines is Jakkin Rabbit and the EP’s second track- ‘Needin’ Someone‘. Robert Owens imposes advantageous vocals throughout and provides the track with bags of the special stuff. A track that certainly penetrates and inspires the thrill inside of you. A personal UGS Favourite.

Asserting his sexy, eurphoric trademark sound into ‘Pushin’ is FreakMe. Developing an almost trance like sound, his remix provides a softcore bass line compared to that of the original mix.

Sonny Fodera ensures his funk / soul sound clearly spills out onto the second A-side remix. The build up is an impressive rise to a commanding bassline drop- securing a big hit sound.

Favouring the chimera sound is the Adriatique Illusion remix. An invention of the head trip- this remix provides an alternate sound to the original that is hugely impressive.

Louie Fresco preview coming soon…

MEXA Records provides us with the perfect fabrication of deep, sexy and vocal packed sounds. The introduction of Jakkin Rabbit to the label shows a clear interest from Louie Fresco to bring light to this utopia sounding duo. The presence of Robert Owens vocal is a huge success.

An all round package providing an array of tracks that will impress even your biggest playlist hitters.
